Testimonials:
"Everyone who has worked with Sandy has been especially good to him. We as a family appreciate the care he has received. We chose RCCC because we knew it was good in so many ways. Also, many of Sandy’s friends were here. We are very happy and would highly recommend RCCC to others."—Family of Sandy Salton
Our Staff
I have received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Healthcare Administration from Buena Vista University in 2011 and a Association of Arts Degree in Journalism and Photography from Iowa Lakes Community College in 2006.
I have worked in Long Term Care for 5 years and have experience in a variety of areas. I started as a cook in the kitchen of a care center, then was promoted to Activity Director, later was moved into the position of Admissions and Marketing Coordinator, and lastly worked at Human Resource Director before accepting the job at Ruthven Community Care Center.
I feel privileged to work with the community of Ruthven at the staff at RCCC and truly blessed to work for the residents of RCCC.
My husband, Kyle, and our two children, Aiden, 7, and Landon, 5, reside in Estherville.
I have been in the Nursing field for 30 years. I live in Laurens and have 3 sons and 7 grandkids. What I like best about working here at the Ruthven Assisted Living are the great clients and my wonderful staff.
I have worked at the Ruthven Community Care Center for 2 years. I am married and have 2 children. I enjoy working at the Care Center because of the residents and staff.
I have worked here for 6 years. I have been married for 9 years and have 3 children. I am from Southern Iowa. My mom has had a in-home catering business for the past 15 years, in which I have loved helping and learning from the best! I met my husband working at a Plastics Factory where I was a quality auditor. My husband took a postion at a factory in Milford. I took 2 years off to be a stay at home mom. I knew I needed to get back to what I loved doing, cooking! I started as a dishwasher and a dietary aide, then a cook. I am Serve Safe Certified, and I am currently enrolled at UND to get my CDM and become a Certified Dietary Manager. Every day is something new. I enjoy the challenge of creating new options and menus, to make RCCC a more “home” like setting. The residents become a part of your family, and that’s what I love.
Greetings! I am originally from Fonda, IA but have lived by Marathon with my husband, Paul, and three children, Kelsey, 17, Hannah, 12, and Tanner, 10, since 1999. We have several horses and dogs, and enjoy rodeos, horse shows and camping together.
I obtained my Nursing license in 1997 from Iowa Central Community College, and have since worked in various Long Term Care Centers until 2008 when I went into Home Care / Hospice. I am excited to be back working with the elderly and look forward to the adventures and challenges ahead of us! We have a GREAT team at Ruthven Community Care Center, and I am proud to be a part of it!
I started at the Ruthven Community Care Center 21 months ago. I like working here because of the residents and staff. I grew up on a farm about 7 miles south of Ruthven. I moved to Ruthven in 1979, when I married Robert (Butch) Grund. We opened our business in town in 1980, B&G Auto Body. I worked there for 28 years. We have three children and two grandchildren. I was on the ambulance as an EMT for 5 years. I worked as an aide for 3 years before I got married and enjoyed helping the residents in the nursing home. I enjoy being a part of the RCCC staff.
